All humans deserve to move their bodies in ways that make them feel safe and confident; regardless of gender, sexuality, race, socioeconomic status, and disability status.

Katie Ford Tulsa

Hi! I'm Katie (she/her/hers). I own a small physical therapy clinic and studio gym, Cultivate Strength, in my beloved home town of Tulsa, OK where I also practice as a physical therapist and strength coach. When I'm not at work, I enjoy reading, lifting weights, and seeking joy in the people and environments surrounding me. I live with the best family in the whole world and our three dogs, which is too many dogs.

After many years of spiritual wandering and working peripherally in the health and fitness community, I went all-in in 2015 and started working as a personal trainer while completing my first college degree. Thanks to a myriad of support and mentorship, I was able to learn and grow in the industry, and when I finished my bachelor's degree at the "old age" of 31, I was qualified enough to be accepted into the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at University of Oklahoma and the rest is history! I am so grateful for my nontraditional career path and experience as a working mom and student; life has taught me that we are not born onto a level playing field and I absolutely would not be where I am today if I hadn't been born into a wonderful family and had such a supportive community.
